Akira Movie Has No Chance

Ok, so as many of you may know, there are plans to make a live-action, american made, Akira movie. So far there is no official director, no official finalized script, no nothing, outside of the fact we know Leonardo DiCaprio‘s production company will be taking care of the production. However, something surfaced on the “kinda reliable” section of the internet today. The part of Shotaro Kaneda, the lead, has been offered to this actor:

I haven’t watched, read, or even seen any bit of Akira, but I can’t imagine this is good. In fact, this is a little hilarious to me. Sorry fans. Pray that this never comes to be. Heres a sneak peak into the future!

not Sparta! But freakin’ awesome! Yo, welcome to our brand new blog! My name is Crypt, a 21 year old guy who’s going to be helping his buddy out and posting here on this blog about…well just about anything and probably everything! My interest varies to many different subjects that can all be considered nerdy and geeky (and even ‘normal’ subjects as well). In the world of video games I usually find myself playing FPS, RPG, Music & Rhythm, Strategy, Action & Adventure and Simulation games. When it comes to anime/manga, I find most shonen and comedies series are more my style though I am always open to read something new. On the tides of music I sail on everything (Seriously, I listen to everything). This also goes for comic books, though those are more of Restless Monarch’s area than mine. I also love pop culture and do my best to keep up with it whenever I can.
